Are you getting the bug to start some DIY projects while the weather is turning cooler and urging us to stay inside? I have sooo many I want to do, but I recently got a huge inspiration from my BFF this week! She found a classic 70’s dresser and wow–did she kick it up a notch!
Here is the piece that looked like it needed to stay in the 1970’s, but oh the bones …
The music to my ears part of her instructions was “no primer.” YESSSS. She used Heirlooms Tradition paint (HTP) products for the project and this post is not sponsored; we just love the products!
First she used the HTP deglosser, then used her electric spray painter to apply the HTP “Iron Gate,” color over the piece. No sealer is needed, and after she let it set and dry, it was time for the accents.
She used precut decals off of an Etsy shoppe, but those of you with a Cricut could also make your own custom design. I really think the decals took it to the next level.
She had intended on selling the piece, but after it was done, she knew it belonged only to her and her kitchen. (Dang! I had my wallet out!) am in love with this piece! Let us know what you think in the comments and if you haven’t used HTP paint, you’re world is about to change…
Love her taste? Well I love her AND her taste, so I featured her beautiful custom built farmhouse on my youtube channel! You can see it here: https://studio.youtube.com/video/NM_cLYFtI4Q/edit
She is looking for the perfect knobs, but knobs or not, this piece is going down in DIY history. I noticed her GATHER sign above it, and though gatherings may be smaller this year, I’d gather around this piece of DIY perfection any day. xoxo Trishy
