Sometimes we think of a classic as old, but I like to think of classic as being timeless! As I’m nearing my next birthday, I am loving who I have become this year and hope that I will feel as good moving into my next year of life. Classic. Ratchet. Bougie…haha something like that!
I do love to be considered classy; though, and I love to dress in stylish but classy pieces. This week’s post features three of my favorite classic pieces to style for fall. So many possibilities with these items–room to stylize, individualize, yet still seen as classic.
First up is the trench coat. It may bring thoughts of Inspector Gadget to mind, maybe a streaker…hahah you never know! But trying to keep it classy, I love to pair them with classic featured item #2, a turtleneck. I love turtlenecks because they elongate our neck, provide such a beautiful feminine silhouette and keep me warm! This turtleneck is oh so soft. No itchy necks allowed! (I used to hide itchy clothes under my bed as a little girl :o) I paired the look with some more edgy heel boots to jazz it up a bit. I think style is all about classy, yet adding individual twists to make it our own. What would you pair your trench with?
Next up on my classy list is scarves. They are sooooo versatile. I found this bright green one and new it would take any outfit to the next level. I threw it on with the turtleneck and bam.
